Create your organization

Your first screen after signing up. Events, tickets and payouts all belong to an organization, and you are its owner.

Everything on EventsForge belongs to an organization — events, ticket types, orders, payouts and the people who can see them. It is the first thing you make, and it takes one screen.

What happens the first time you sign in

Sign in and go to the dashboard. Because your account has no organization yet, the whole console is replaced by a single form: Create your organization. That is not an error state — it is step one, and nothing else can happen until it is done.

  1. Name it. This is what buyers see on your event pages and in their ticket emails. Use the name people already know you by, not a legal entity name.

  2. Pick a handle. Your public page becomes /o/your-handle. It is worth a moment's thought — it goes into links you will share.

  3. Create. You become the organization's owner, which is the role that can change fee settings, payout details and refunds.

Roles

Three roles, ranked. A higher role can do everything a lower one can.

Owner · Manager · Scanner
  • Owner — everything, including refunds, payout details, fee settings and billing.
  • Manager — events, ticket types, orders, deliveries and transfers. Cannot see or issue refunds, and cannot change payout details.
  • Scanner — the floor of the dashboard. Enough to be an admin account, not enough to change anything.

Door staff do not need an account

People scanning tickets at your event sign in to the scanner with an event id and a PIN, not with an EventsForge login. See Setting the door PIN about setting the door pin.

What to do next

Create an event, add at least one ticket type, and publish it — Create and publish an event about create and publish an event. Before you take money, decide which rail you are selling on: Choosing how buyers pay about choosing how buyers pay.
